Frequently Asked Questions About Car Rental

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Motiva Car Rental services below.

What are the age and driving-licence requirements?

For standard Vehicle groups, every driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least two years. Higher age or licence-duration requirements may apply to premium and higher groups. The exact conditions are shown during reservation.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. The standard deposit is TRY 5,000 for economy groups and TRY 10,000 for premium groups. A different amount may apply depending on Vehicle group, rental period, booking channel and risk assessment. The final amount is stated during reservation or in the Rental Agreement.

What are the mileage limits?

The limit is 250 km per day for rentals of 1–12 days, 3,000 km in total for rentals of 13–29 days, and 4,000 km in total for a 30-day rental. The allowance for longer rentals is disclosed at reservation. Excess mileage is charged at the current rate.

At what fuel level should the Vehicle be returned?

The Vehicle must be returned at the same fuel level at which it was delivered. Missing fuel and the current refuelling service charge are payable by the Renter. No refund or credit is provided for excess fuel.

May an additional driver use the Vehicle?

Yes, provided the additional driver is recorded in the Rental Agreement and meets the applicable age and licence requirements. The current daily additional-driver fee applies to each driver. Use by an unregistered person may affect protection and insurance coverage.

What happens if the Vehicle is returned late?

A one-hour grace period applies after the scheduled return time. If it is exceeded, one full day’s rental charge applies. If the delay continues, an additional daily charge and related service fees may apply for each 24-hour period.

Are rental Vehicles insured?

Vehicles have compulsory motor third-party liability insurance. Damage, theft and other optional protection vary according to the selected package. Coverage requires use in accordance with the Agreement, driving only by registered drivers and submission of all required accident reports and documents.

What should I do after an accident or damage?

Contact Motiva Car Rental immediately. Where required, call the police or gendarmerie, prepare the accident report and other required records, photograph the scene and Vehicle, and submit all documents to Motiva Car Rental within 24 hours. Do not drive if doing so may increase the damage.

Who pays tolls and traffic fines?

The Renter is responsible for HGS, motorway, bridge, tunnel, parking and other toll charges and traffic fines incurred during the rental. These amounts may be collected even if notified after the rental ends. The current administration fee may also apply.

Is a particular make and model guaranteed?

Reservations confirm a Vehicle group rather than a specific make or model. The delivered Vehicle may be from the reserved group or, where operationally necessary, a similar or higher group.

Where can I collect and return the Vehicle?

Motiva Car Rental offers airport and city delivery options through its service locations in Gaziantep and Ankara. Pick-up and return locations are agreed during reservation. A different return location may be subject to availability and the current one-way fee.

Can I rent monthly or long term?

Yes. Monthly and long-term options are available for individual and corporate customers. A tailored quotation can be prepared according to Vehicle group, rental duration, mileage requirement and service scope.

How can I change or cancel a reservation?

Change and cancellation conditions vary according to the selected rate, booking channel and time remaining before pick-up. Review the terms on your reservation confirmation or contact Motiva Car Rental before making changes.
